Dinner at Lawry's Prime Rib (beverly hills)?
i found out the price range for lawry's cut ($37) and california cut ($31) and comes with salad yorkshire pudding mashed potato and the whipped cream horseradish. The chef comes around with the cart and carves the meat
so can someone answer these questions?
- when you order entree and desert (won't be ordering appetizers) n they see that your done with the your entree, do they bring out the desert themselves? or do I have to ask for them to bring it out?
- do i ask for bill or check?
- how should I order my steak? medum? medium rare? medium well?
-how much are the salmons
it's my first dinner at Steak House the questions may seem stupid but don't want to sound stupid while i'm there so please answer

Click onto Lawry's Prime Rib (click the one you're going to), then "menu" for details. Under menu, it'll go into the various cuts that are available for your choice.
A true beef aficionado would order *medium rare (*very tender, meat is red/pink with pink juice) or medium. However it is suggested not to go beyond medium (you'll kill the steak/prime rib if you request well and well done....it toughens the meat).
NOTE: If you're not comfortable with med. rare, you will not embarrass yourself if you order Medium ("Medium" is a very popular request when ordering prime rib and/or steak without "sounding stupid"). Personally, I find that anyone who orders "Well to Well Done" are un-informed diners....but then again, it's also personal preference too.
Since you asked for details:
1) After your drinks are served, your waitress will bring a cart
with a bowl of salad. There's no choice in dressing (Only Lawry's house dressing). She'll spin the bowl while pouring dressing into the bowl, toss it, plate it, and it'll be served to each guest at the table.
2) Then the carver's meat cart is rolled to your table. They will ask you what cut you'd like (you would have already seen the menu for the cut that you'd like along with what vegetables dish you'd like along with serving you the mashed potatoes; yorkshire pudding and creamed horseradish [straight horseradish is upon request]).
Upon completion of your dinner, the server will automatically go through the process of presenting you with a dessert menu or tray of dessert. So no need to worry about asking. Also, if you're on a date, consider taking a cue from your date (at the time when the dessert tray or menu is presented to your table). If he/she is full and don't want dessert, you can suggest sharing one, and/or ask if he/she would like hot tea, coffee or cappuccino. Follow your date's cue. You'll be fine. HTH
