Fine Edge
A few days after cutting pineapple, what are the little white specs on the outside edge?
When I cut up a fresh pineapple, I cut it into chunks and immediately put it in the fridge. A day or two later, I notice there are a few little white spongy specks on the outside cut edge. I don't notice a difference in the taste and it smells fine. Are these specks mold or are they ok to eat? Has anyone else noticed this?
It's just oxidization. Same as when you cut up an apple, it turns brown
