Gusto Grip
For anyone with chronic fatigue syndrome, how do you tend to manage your periods of 'good' days?
This is hard for me to get a grip on myself, and equally hard for those close to me to understand. I guess for sufferers of fibromyalgia it's the same. When you feel bad, you can barely do anything, so stuff tends to pile up. Then, when you feel good and finally get some energy, you want to do everything possible. At least for me, and especially of a period of 'remission' lasts a rather long time, I get into exercising regularly, and going our and doing all kinds of stuff with my kids. I feel CURED! But today I am so bummed. Last week was the last of several weeks of feeling normal and very energetic. I did a lot of walking, started losing weight... then the weekend came, and I plummeted. Family and friends always say, "Why don't you pace yourself?" or "You know you shouldn't be doing that." But, even though I feel terrible from time to time, it almost seems worth it to really go for the gusto when I can. Is moderate exertion a better way to many this disorder?
