What is peeling?
well my dad says it is where you use you fingers but my mom says peeling is where you use either your fingers of a knife
both r correct, even fingers are used to peel, like onions, and oranges,
peeling is just removing skin of vegetables and fruits. in fruits we remove the skin where it is not eatable, like we dont eat skin of orange, and also some peel skin of apple.
In another coutries we use peelers for peeling potatoes, ginger, and ridge gaurd, and other vegetables, many indian vegetables need peelers or knife to remove the skin. mainly we use peelers or knife for removing thick skin in vegetables which is strong or which is not used for cooking in vegetables, sometimes we even peel skin of the vegetables where we cook it in a different item, where the main ingrident will be the outer layer of the vegetable or the skin of the vegetable.
