Sandwich Knife
Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich
Can someone help me on this? I have to explain in GREAT DETAIL how to make a peanut butter sandwich to an alien. He knows our language and he has all the essential material needed to make the sandwich ( knives, napkins, jelly, bread, p.b. etc..) All I have to do is to be VERY SPECIFIC in making the sandwich.

Oh, this is such a fun assignment! My second-grade teacher made us do this - she had us say our steps out loud while she followed them, lol. It was such a mess, because she would follow them as an alien would - like if we said, "Step one: spread peanut butter on the bread," she would spread peanut butter on the outside of the bread package, because we hadn't told her to take the bread out!
That's all you have to worry about, really; being REALLY specific. I would start out with something like this:
1. Go to the sink.
2. Turn the knobs for hot and cold water until you get warm water.
3. Put soap on your hands.
4. Lather your hands and clean them with the soap.
5. Rinse the soap off your hands in the water.
6. Turn off the water by turning the knobs to the "off" position.
7. Dry your hands on a napkin.
8. Throw the napkin into the wastepaper basket.
9. Now that you've washed your hands, stand in front of the counter or area where the sandwich is to be made.
10. Position a plate in front of you on the counter.
11. Pick up the bag of bread.
12. Holding the bag of bread in one hand, use the other hand to twist the two prongs of the twist tie in the opposite direction as they are currently twisted, until the tie is completely untwisted.
13. Place the tie aside, on the counter.
14. Reach into the bag of bread with one hand and select 2 slices of bread.
15. Holding on to the bread, pull out your hand from the bag and place the 2 slices of bread onto the plate in front of you.
ETC.
You get the picture. 
Remember to be as specific as you can! It's a fun exercise.
